  • Compliance officers making sure the practices at their institution conform to standards and guidelines
  • Financial stewards tasked with maintaining medication delivery costs to their institution, while ensuring the best patient care.

Operational Efficiencies and Improved Workflow

The Medication Management process within a hospital is a complicated. It is difficult to stay current with medication management policies, practice guidelines and the latest national standards, while maintaining operational efficiencies within the process. A seamless, consistent process within medication management is key. Baxter clinicians will work directly with your clinical staff to understand your nursing and pharmacy practices and their integration with your policies and nationally recognized standards.

Minimizing Variability of Care

Standardization is one of the most frequently recommended interventions for minimizing variability of practice. It facilitates clinical safety and it has a positive operational impact. That’s why Baxter offers the following approaches to standardization utilizing our clinical consultant staff. We understand the value of clinician-to-clinician interface.

  • COLLEAGUE Guardian Utilization Assessment
  • IV S.C.A.N. — IV Survey for Compliance with Asepsis and Needleless Systems
  • VITAL P.R.E.P. — Practice Review and Evaluation Program
  • S.E.T.S. — Safety, Efficiency through Standardization

Training and Education

At Baxter, we tailor our education and training to unique environment, process and personnel of each hospital. Blended learning is a efficient and flexible approach that Baxter uses to help meet hospital training requirements. This includes traditional live inservicing, as well as web-based, on-demand learning programs. As technology and practice evolves, education and training need to stay current and forward thinking. Baxter’s education and training model is designed to help hospitals meet this need.
